The American Legion District 5, VFW District 5, Muehlebach Funeral Care, Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, and the Catholic Cemeteries of Kansas City – St. Joseph announce the Annual Kansas City Remembrance Ceremony in honor of the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. The ceremony will include Master of Ceremonies Taylor Hemness, KSHB News, and remarks from Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas, Raytown Mayor Mike McDonough, Kansas City MO Deputy Fire Chief, and Kansas City MO Police Chief Stacey Graves, along with laying of the wreaths, tolling of the bell and a fire volley salute.

The public is invited to attend the ceremony, which will take place on Monday, September 11, at the First Responder’s Memorial at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 7601 Blue Ridge Blvd., Kansas City, MO. The American Legion band will play from 5:30–6:00 p.m., and the ceremony will begin at 6:00 p.m.

The ceremony will give the public an opportunity to honor the victims of 9/11 as well as show appreciation to our current first responders. “We will never forget.”
