ReDiscover, in partnership with the Lee’s Summit School District, ProDeo Youth Center, Lee’s Summit Police Department, and Lee’s Summit Cares, will be hosting a youth lead Community forum to talk about the mental well-being of our youth on Monday, April 22nd from 6:30 pm-8:30 pm at the Summit Tech Academy. This forum will be an open dialogue for the community to listen to a youth panel on how to help them address mental health and emotional stress. This event aims to provide information from youth within the Eastern Jackson County community about their mental well-being and the support needed from their parents, teachers, adult role models, and community leaders. While it is normal for youth to experience various types of emotional distress as they mature, we want to provide a resource as we listen and understand further how we can help our youth as they become our future leaders.

During these panel discussion adults will hear the results to three major fact-finding questions concerning mental well-being and identified key components of concern. All information presented was compiled from the Youth Community Forum which was held on February 20th, to help identify the main issues that are impacting our youth.
