On April 16, the newly elected city council members and a municipal judge elected on April 2 took the oath of office.

Those newly elected councilmembers include: Hillary Shields (District 1), Trish Carlyle (District 2), Cynda Rader (District 3), and Fred DeMoro (District 4). Venessa Maxwell-Lopez was elected to serve as municipal judge.

Mayor Bill Baird recognized outgoing councilmembers Andrew Felker (District 2), Phyllis Edson (District 3) and retiring municipal judge James Tobin.
