Local artist Jim Ware recently gifted one of his original paintings to the city of Lee’s Summit to be hung in the new Fire Station #5 located at 801 SW Lemans Lane.

Ware says he made of gift of the painting as a “welcome to the Raintree Lake neighborhood.”

The painting, entitled “The Beast,” is “an homage to our brave fire fighters” says Ware.

Painted in 2016, it was first on display at his one man show in City Hall in July of that year.
