Students participating in the Camp Eagle Summit summer program at Summit Christian Academy (SCA) are performing Lemonade! A Musical for Young Singers on Tuesday, July 12.
Directed by Elementary Music Teacher Angy Bounds, this musical portrays a festive day of parades and lemonade stands that is interrupted by a cast of frenzied fairytale characters with a lot of problems! Characters including Chicken Little, the Three Little Pigs, and Humpty Dumpty are having a BAD DAY. It takes the wisdom and cheerfulness of Mother Goose to remind them that kindness, compassion, and love- when taken and shared in large dosages- can be a winning recipe to turn even the very worst days into those of joy. A change of heart, positive attitude, and prayer can turn lemons into lemonade!
Performances will be at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. in SCA’s Elementary Commons (1450 SW Jefferson St. Lee’s Summit, MO 64081). Admission is free, and the evening performance will include lemonade and other lemony treats.
