Hy-Vee logoEvery year Hy-Vee food stores hosts an event called “Springtime Party” where each store is invited to select a different theme. The Lee’s Summit Hy-Vee at 301 NE Rice Road has chosen “Love Local” to help celebrate the chain’s 30th year serving the Kansas City area.

The week of April 30 to May 6th the store will hold many promotions to help highlight local products carried in the store. Customers are welcome to show off their team pride and get 10% off their bill inside the Market Grille. Wear any local high school shirts, Chiefs, Royals and Sporting KC gear to qualify for the discount. From May 4 through May 6th Zarda BBQ will be in front of the store along with KC Poppers.

More promotions will take place at the Hy-Vee C Store where all week long local police and fire departments will receive coffee for $1. Caribou Coffee will host an open mic from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4th for local musicians. The band “Bricks Shy” will perform at the coffee shop on Thursday, May 5th from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.

Shoppers are encouraged to participate in a raffle for a chance to win a barbecue grill. All proceeds will benefit One Good Meal of Lee’s Summit. Raffle tickets are $5 each. For more information visit Hy-Vee at 301 NE Rice road or call (816) 524-5760.
