On Saturday, August 25, 2018, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office D.W.I/Traffic Safety Unity conducted a D.W.I saturation patrol conjunction with local law enforcement agencies as party of a state wide “Saturation Saturday” initiative. This saturation patrol allowed five Deputies to target a geographical area to detect and apprehend impaired drivers while also looking for any traffic violation by motorist.

The sic hour D.W.I saturation patrol resulted in the following:
17 traffic stops
25 traffic citations
7 D.W.I arrest

The D.W.I/Traffic Safety Unit of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office will continue to conduct saturation patrols throughout the remainder of the year. We encourage everyone to drive responsibly, obey all traffic laws and buckle up.
