A Lee’s Summit teenager was sentenced today by a Jackson County judge to two consecutive sentences of life and 50 years in prison for the fatal stabbing in 2015 of Tanya L. Chamberlain at a Lee’s Summit carwash, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
Trevon Henry, dob: 11/30/2000, in October pleaded guilty to four counts: Murder 1st Degree, Armed Criminal Action, Robbery 1st Degree and Armed Criminal Action.
On Friday, January 4, 2019, a Jackson County judge sentenced Henry to Life with the possibiilty of parole on the first count, plus 50 years on the second count. The judge also sentenced Henry to Life with the possbility of parole on the third count (Robbery 1st Degree) plus 50 years on the second Armed Criminal Action charge. The judge set the counts 3 and 4 to run consecutively to counts 1 and 2.
Henry, now 18, was 14 at the time of the murder and robbery. A second teen has yet to be sentenced in the case.
