The Longview Farm Elementary families and the PTA collaborated to give back for their 5th annual MLK Day of Service. At LFE, families made 140 cards for active military troops and families at home were able to make no-sew fleece blankets and pillow cases for KU Med. The PTA organized groups at John Knox Village, Wayside Waifs, Unleashed Pet Rescue and Blair’s Foster Socks. They also raised money for students to make 60 no-sew fleece blankets and Happy Kits for Children’s Mercy Hospital and Jefferson Nursing Home.
