Raytown Winter Weather Advisory Update:

The Winter Weather Advisory is now in effect now through noon Thursday. The advisory includes an Ice Storm Warning. The KC Metro will experience high periods of accumulating freezing rain Wednesday evening through Thursday morning.

Raytown’s Public Works Crews started Tuesday evening treating the Raytown roadways and will be out treating the roadways for the next 24 hours, as needed. Hazardous road conditions are expected during the highest period of freezing rain. Please make way for the City’s Public Works Crews to treat the streets.

On Thursday, the forecast also includes increasing northwest winds of 15-25 mph with higher gusts, leading to the potential for ice damage to trees and power lines. Please drive with caution and be mindful of newly falling tree branches and down lines.
