In March, Cox and England were among four co-defendants charged in connection with the March 4 fatal shooting of Riley McCracken outside a Raytown pool hall.

According to court records released today, on Oct. 5, 2018, Brooks was asleep on the couch in her front living room when England entered the residence and shot her four times. Fired shell casings were recovered. Witnesses told Missouri Highway Patrol detectives that England shot Brooks. Cox told law enforcement about England walking into the victim’s residence while she waited in the vehicle. She showed England where the victim lived. She added that England explained that the victim had “snitched” on someone. He also told her, Cox stated, that the victim was asleep when he shot her and she should not tell anyone about it.

Cox remains in custody on a $250,000 bond, while England’s bond has now been set at $350,000.
