Summit Christian Academy (SCA) juniors Gage Brown, son of Michael and Bren Brown, Jake McIlhaney, son of Kevin and Nancy McIlhaney, and Brandon Self, son of Matthew and Melissa Self have been accepted and plan to attend and participate in the 2019 American Legion Boys State of Missouri program.

Held on the campus of the University of Central Missouri (UCM) in Warrensburg, the 80th session of Boys State will be held June 15-22.

All citizens at Boys State may vote and are eligible to hold office, as the program is designed to educate and train Missouri’s young leaders in functional citizenship, leadership, and government. Nearly 1,000 student leaders build an entire state government in a single week.
