GEHA (Government Employees Health Association) announced today two new additions to its executive team. Joe Stasi has joined GEHA as chief financial officer, bringing 25 years of experience in the health care industry, and GC Paul has been named chief information officer, bringing more than 15 years of health care experience to his new role.
“Joe and GC each have proven track records of industry success along with tremendous depth of knowledge,” said Darren Taylor, GEHA president and CEO. “Our new executive team members will enhance our organizational capabilities as they embrace our commitment to a people-first culture that provides world-class service to our members.”
Previously, Stasi spent more than 15 years at Saint Luke’s Health System in the Kansas City area, including 11 years as CFO of Saint Luke’s Hospital East in Lee’s Summit where GEHA is headquartered. A certified public accountant, Stasi is a graduate of Rockhurst University where he also received a Master of Business Administration.
“As the industry shifts from sick care to well care, I’m excited to join GEHA and help the company offer its members benefit plans that deliver top-quality care and flexible options that work within their budget,” said Stasi.
Paul moves to GEHA from the Rochester, New York area where he served as senior vice president and CIO of Excellus BlueCross BlueShield. A graduate of Annamalai University in India, Paul started his career at Ernst & Young before moving into health care IT and operations.
“I am excited to join GEHA to help the company achieve its enterprise strategies and further enhance our member’s experience with personalized data driven insights,” said Paul.
