Congrats to the high school students selected to the Missouri Boys State program sponsored by The American Legion. Raytown High School students who attended Missouri Boys State included Larry Wilson Jr. (top row, left) who was elected Governor and will also serve as Governor in 2020 and will receive a traveling plaque to be on display at Raytown High School; Jesse Best (top row, second to left) who was elected Outstanding City Clerk; Ismael Guijarro (top row, second to right); Daniel Schwaller (top row, right); and David Sevart (bottom row, left). Raytown South High School students who attended Missouri Boys State included Donovan Cusick (bottom row, second to left) who was elected to several offices and was named Boys Nation Nominee as well as Outstanding Political Party leader; Seth King (bottom row, second to right); and Chancellor Moore (bottom row, right).

Missouri Boys State brings together the best and the brightest high school juniors each year to help lead them down the path of individual success and leadership through doing and learning. The Missouri Boys State program took place June 15-20. The Missouri Girls State program began June 23 and will run through Saturday, June 29.
