Fabian Torres-Torres, 31 years of age, from Kansas City drowned at Lake Jacomo, by Shelter #10 , Saturday July 20, 2019 about 4:00 p.m.

According to the MSHP Drowning report he entered the water to rescue two juveniles and did not resurface. He was not wearing a safety device. His body was located by divers at about 3: 45 p.m., Sunday, July 21, 2019. 

Assisted in the recovery was MSHP Troopers, Lee’s Summit Underwater Recovery, Lee’s Summit Fire Department, Jackson County Park Rangers, and Jackson County Deputies.

Body was released to the Jackson County Medical Examiner.
