Lake Lotawana junior waterskiers, Ally Custer, Gage Selly, Lexie Adamczyk, and Loren Adamczyk, competed at the MasterCraft Midwest Regional Water Ski competition in Maize, Kansas. Each skier had to qualify in order to compete. Lotawana skiers competed against the best skiers from Illinois, Minnesota, Kansas, Wisconsin, Indianan, Ohio, Nebraska, Iowa and Michigan.

The four skiers competed in three areas, slalom, trick and jump. Loren Adamczyk placed second in the jump and Ally Custer third. Ally accumulated enough points and placed fifth overall. Ally Custer was recognized for most improved slalom skier in the entire Midwest division. Loren Adamczyk was recognized for most improved jump and overall in the entire Midwest division. Loren also received a cash prize for most improved jump out of all the 17 and under skiers in the Midwest region. Lexie Adamczyk was selected to be a member of the Regional Junior Development team, she will ski in Florida in June 2020. Ally Custer will continue onto Nationals next week.

Other highlights from the weekend included the Lotawana skiers being asked to perform a pyramid during the Wichita Cup. They borrowed skis and ropes and made a quick 3-2-1 for a pro show. Gage and two dads based and the girls climbed.
