Washington, D.C. – Following House passage today of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) Conference Report, Congressman Sam Graves (MO-06) released the following statement:

“Today’s passage of the National Defense Authorization Act conference report is a win for our country and the brave men and women in the Armed Services who are committed to defending it. Providing for the common defense shouldn’t be a partisan issue and I’m pleased that the conference report reflects that. This bill went from a progressive wish list in the House that was not bipartisan at all, to a final product that gives our war fighters the tools they need to capably defend our country. I was pleased to support this final bill as it continues to restore readiness, supports the largest pay increase in 10 years for our troops, and provides additional resources to maintain America’s competitive military edge and counter our foreign adversaries. I was also pleased to push for additional C-130 upgrades for the 139th Airlift Wing in St. Joseph which are included in the bill.”

Graves serves on the House Armed Services Committee.
