Lee’s Summit, Mo.— On Monday, 1/6/2020 at approximately 9:45 a.m. officers were called to the 1900 block of SE 7th Street on the report of shots fired.

Upon arrival officers made contact with the resident of the home and confirmed that shots had been fired into the residence.

Investigation at the scene revealed that the suspect arrived in a car, exited and approached the residence on foot. The suspect fired several rounds into vehicles in the driveway and into the residence. 

A witness nearby heard the shots and followed the suspect out of the neighborhood. The witness was able to  provide valuable information to investigators. There were no injuries reported at the scene and detectives are currently following leads in the case.
