Two persons have been charged in a multiple drive-by shootings into residences in Lee’s Summit and Blue Springs, MO, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
Chance D. Boles, dob: 9/16/2000, of Grandview, MO, and Atianna J. Chavez, of Grandview, MO, dob: 11/28/2001, each face three counts of Unlawful Use of a Weapon and three counts of Armed Criminal Action.*
According to court records filed today, the defendants were involved in three shootings in the last five days in Lee’s Summit and Blue Springs. One co-defendant admiteed to being involved in three of the shootings, even saying she got an adrenaline high from shooting a gun. All three shootings involves shots into a home occupied by people. One defendant had a social media name associated with threats made to some victims.
Prosecutors requested $100,000 cash bonds for each defendant.
“Press Release regarding the weapons offense on 1/6/2020 on SE 7th St. The mentioned ‘multiple shootings’ are NOT in relation to the previous one on SE 11th,” according to Lee’s Summit Police Department.
*Charges are only accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until the defendant is either found guilty or has pleaded.
