Today, the Jackson County Assessment Department was notified that the Board of Equalization (BOE) will begin conducting BOE appeal hearings before hearing officers by phone rather than in person, effective immediately. The BOE’s decision is due to concerns of large gatherings related to COVID-19, also known as novel coronavirus.

BOE staff will be notifying those with pending BOE appeals about the change.
