Today, Jackson County Legislature Chairman Theresa Cass Galvin announced that to try to prevent the spread of COVID-19 she asks citizens and county associates to not attend the county legislative meeting on Monday, March 16 unless you have business that needs to be addressed by the legislature.

The meeting scheduled for Monday, March 23 has been canceled. The legislature will continue to monitor the state of the county and will update the public on future meetings. At this time, I am focused on the health and well-being of our citizens and also our associates, “said Theresa Cass Galvin. “I appreciate citizens’ understanding during this ever-changing climate and encourage all residents to stay informed and to practice good hand hygiene, use cough etiquette and stay home when you are not feeling well.”
