Lee’s Summit, MO – June 10th, 2020 – 

At approximately 3:20 p.m. an Officer arrived in the 800 block of NE Woods Chapel Rd., on routine patrol. 

A citizen, who reported hearing shots fired just prior to the Officer arriving in the area, flagged down the Officer. The Officer located several spent shell casings in the adjoining Burger King parking lot.  Witnesses and surveillance video indicate that an occupant of a blue Ford Mustang shot at the occupant(s) of a white BMW.  Both vehicles fled westbound on NE Woods Chapel Rd. immediately following. 

At this time we have not had contact with the occupants of either vehicle and it is unknown if anyone was injured during the incident.  We currently do not have any further information regarding the vehicles or the occupants.

The investigation is on-going at this time.
