Dear Love and Logic Parent,

Lee’s Summit CARES will present a free webinar for parents at 4 p.m. Aug. 18 focusing on “Back to School Success: Setting the Stage for a Great School Year.”

Kerri Gray, MS, LMFT

The virtual session is part of the nonprofit organization’s continuing efforts to assist families through its Positive Parenting Practices program.

Pre-registration is required by visiting this webpage. In addition, the webinar will be available at Lee’s Summit CARES website after the session is complete.

The webinar is designed to help parents and young people navigate through this time of global pandemic as well as the return to school this fall. Topics will include addressing back-to-school anxiety, maintaining student motivation regardless of the learning platform and how your role as a parent relates to your child’s academic success.

The Positive Parenting Practices are approximately one hour. Other recent webinars, available via Lee’s Summit CARES YouTube, include “Introduction to Mindfulness,” “A New Normal: Helping Your Family Adapt to Change,” “Motivation,” “Flattening the Stress Curve” and “Creative Parent Responses to ‘I’m Bored’.”
