This year’s rivalry game between Raytown and Raytown South set for this Friday has been moved up to Thursday, Sept. 3 and will be played at Staley High School. The game originally scheduled to be played at Raytown High School was moved to allow for greater parents and fans attendance. The Blue Jays will remain the home team for the game and kickoff time remains at 7 p.m.

Another change to area high school football schedules involves the Lee’s Summit North Broncos. The Broncos home game on Friday, Sept. 25 against Blue Valley North will now see the Firebirds from Lawrence Free State be the visiting team. The change was due to Blue Valley schools suspending fall activities through Sept. 8, possibly longer. BV North canceled playing the game and Free State was available to fill in to keep the Broncos regular season schedule intact.
