Lee’s Summit at Lee’s Summit North (Friday Night Lights Tour Stop)
Both teams enter this rivalry match up after season opening wins last week. The Broncos defense impressed with a first half shutout while the Tigers offense came alive for an impressive second half comeback. In the end of this one the Broncos will leave the field with a victory by a slim margin.
Blue Springs South at Lee’s Summit West (Jake’s Take)
A touch match up this week with Blue Springs South vs LS West. West opened the season last week with a win over Park Hill in which they threw for over 200 yards and ran for over 150. I’m taking the Titans 28-20.
Blue Springs at Ray-Pec
Ray-Pec Surprised many area fans by beating Rockhurst on the road last week. Now the Panthers look to enjoy their home opener against the visiting Wildcats. Look for a second win on the season this one coming at home for the Panthers.
St. Pius at St. Michael (Game played at Harrisonville HS)
Two teams with first year head coaches meet on a neutral field on this Friday night. St. Pius won in week one and will give their new head coach another one on a field normally reserved for a bunch of Wildcats.
Summit Christian at Fort Scott
The Eagles made a short trip up to Staley to win their first game of the season. Now the SCA Eagles will head much further south seeking win #2. The road trip will be worth it as the Eagles score their second win of the young season.
Park Hill South at Grandview
Park Hill South had a rough opener at Platte County last week while Grandview eked out a win over Truman. Look for the Panthers to enjoy this visit to the south side of the metro with a win over the Bulldogs.
Houston Texans at Kansas City Chiefs (game played on Thursday, Sept. 10)
Only 22% of the stadium will be full for this FUN Kick off to the new NFL season. The COVID 19 pandemic might have limited the amount of fans in the stands but not on the amount of interest in this rematch of an AFC playoff game last season. Many fans will remember the Chiefs completed the largest comeback in franchise history to defeat the Texans on that January day. The Chiefs will give their fans a memorable night and deliver the first win of the new season.
