Two new members have recently been appointed to the OATS, Inc. Board of Directors. OATS, Inc. is a 501c3 organization that has been providing specialized transportation in Missouri since 1971. The company is headquartered in Columbia MO, with board members from around the state appointed to serve.
Essence Montgomery of Raytown MO is the Chief Financial Officer of St. Mary’s Medical Center in Blue Springs. Montgomery has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, and a Master of Business Administration, both from Rockhurst University.
Andrew Warlen of Blue Springs MO is the Cass County Health Department Director in Harrisonville MO. Warlen has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Truman State University, and a Master of Public Health from the University of Kansas.
Montgomery and Warlen were sworn into office at the meeting on January 26, 2021. They join 14 others members who make up the statewide Board of Directors. OATS Transit provides specialized transportation for senior citizens, people with disabilities and the rural general public. The organization serves 87 Missouri counties with a staff of more than 600 employees. Last year, the company provided more than one million trips to Missourians; it is the largest rural transportation provider in the entire United States.
