April 20, 2024

In partnership with the Lee’s Summit Police Department, local partners, volunteers, and event sponsor First Call KC, Lee’s Summit CARES is proud to present Drug Take-Back Day. In April and October every year, a Saturday is selected by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to be Drug Take-Back Day, when residents can drop off unused medication safely.

Drug Take-Back is coming up April 27, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Help keep the water supply clean by bringing unused prescription, over-the-counter, and pet medication to one of the following drive-thru locations:

•Lee’s Summit Police Department (10 NE Tudor Road)
•Lee’s Summit Medical Center (2100 Blue Parkway – Emergency Room entrance)
You can also drop prescriptions off at the walk-in location:
•John Knox Village (Places Restaurant)

Please note that vape and e-cigarette devices will be accepted AFTER batteries have been removed. No needles, inhalers or liquids are allowed.
