City crews are scheduled to work around the clock plowing and treating streets from Friday, Jan. 11, until Monday, Jan. 14. Pre-treatment of streets was not possible due to rain, but crews began treating streets with rock salt on Friday afternoon.

Accumulating snow is expected late Friday night, and overnight into Saturday, Jan. 12. Depending on the total amount of snow, it will take between 32.5 and 40 hours after snowfall ends on Saturday for crews to plow and treat all streets in the city.

Residents can help the snow control process by removing vehicles, basketball hoops, and trash cans from streets and cul-de-sacs. Residents should also use caution while driving on elevated surfaces such as bridges and overpasses.

The City will continue to monitor the weather forecast and update its response accordingly.
