Lenetta Lee and Jaci Gage

Summit Christian Academy senior Lenetta Lee became the first athlete in the school’s history to commit to two sports at the collegiate level when she recently signed to play volleyball and run track for the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg. Honored as an All-State athlete in volleyball and the Class 3 State champion in the 100m and 200m in track, Lee received offers from NCAA Division I schools. However, her passion to continue both sports led her to UCM.

Lee’s diverse talents have been an asset to the SCA Athletic program. Track & Field head coach Rick McGregor comments, “Lee’s ability to score points in multiple events has been instrumental to the success of our program.” McGregor also acknowledges Lee’s success will continue as she is pushed harder to compete at the collegiate level.

Lee’s teammate on the volleyball court, Jaci Gage, also recently committed to compete at the collegiate level when she signed her intent to play for MidAmerica Nazarene University.

Head volleyball coach Kara Totzke knows she will miss this senior duo on the court next year. “Lee and Gage have been key players in our volleyball program for their four years of high school. I have no doubt their hard work will continue as they take on the next challenge of college athletics. With Lenetta going to UCM and Jaci to MNU, we are excited to see these girls continue using there God given skills in volleyball.”
