The Lee’s Summit Economic Development Council (LSEDC) is pleased to announce that Tina Chace has been promoted to the newly created position of Director of Business Development. In her new role, Chace will lead LSEDC’s business retention and workforce development efforts, as well as oversee investor relations for the organization.

“Tina has done a fantastic job handling operations and marketing for LSEDC over the past five years,” said LSEDC President and CEO Rick McDowell. “Our organization encourages members and investors to promote from within their organizations to ensure the best and brightest of our workforce remain in our community, and Tina’s promotion shows LSEDC’s commitment to homegrown talent. I am confident Tina will be very successful in this new role.”

Since joining LSEDC in 2015, Chace has been promoted twice and has taken on increasing levels of leadership and responsibility, most recently serving as Marketing and Operations Manager. She is a 2018 graduate of the Leadership Lee’s Summit program and has served as secretary/treasurer of the Eastern Jackson County Development Alliance and program coordinator for the Lee’s Summit Civic Roundtable.

“Over the past five years, it has been a privilege to learn about the economic development profession from leaders at the top of their game on both the regional and local level,” said Chace, who was born and raised in Lee’s Summit and graduated from Lee’s Summit High School. “I am looking forward to leveraging those relationships in my new role with LSEDC. It is an exciting time of growth for Lee’s Summit, and I am honored to be able to help promote economic development in this community.”
