Update: 5/6/2019 — Derrick Davis has surrendered himself to authorities.

A suspect has been identified and charged in the investigation of a shooting that took place on April 29th, 2019 in the 1700 block of NE Ridgeview Drive.

Derrick C. Davis, 18 years of age of Lee’s Summit is charged with one count of Assault 1st Degree and one count of Armed Criminal Action; bond was set at $20,000.

Davis remains at large and anyone with information on his location is asked to call the Lee’s Summit Police Department.
