Raytown MO – At approximately 10:38 PM today, 05-16-19, officers were called to a residence in the 6700 block of Harvard Avenue regarding a man that had been shot.

While officers were en route, it was reported that the residence was on fire. Officers arrived and found a man in the front yard that had suffered gunshot wounds.

The officers provided initial medical treatment, applying tourniquets on the man. The man was transported to an area hospital by ambulance. He was conscious, but his condition is unknown. Officers found that there was a fire in the residence.

Fire personnel were called to the scene for the fire.

The investigation is underway and there is no victim or suspect information available at this time.
