Jonathan R. Craver, dob: 11/05/1984, of Lee’s Summit, MO, faces one count of class A Felony of Domestic Assault in the First Degree and one count of Armed Criminal Action.*

According to court records recently filed, the defendant was involved in a shooting in the family home February 9 in which his father was shot and wounded. The Lee’s Summit Fire Department transported the father to an area hospital for medical attention.

The defendant was taken into custody by law enforcement. Prosecutor set the bond at $250,000 10 percent or secured and set special conditions of no contact with the victim. Not to be in the presence or possession of firearms, alcohol or illegal controlled substances.

According to court documents a computer check of Jonathan Craver’s criminal history revealed only one misdemeanor conviction for DUI in Colorado from 2007.

The range of punishment for a class A felony is imprisonment for a term of years not less than ten (10) years and not to exceed thirty (30) years, or life imprisonment.

The range of punishment for the offense of Armed Criminal Action is imprisonment for a term of years not less than three (3) years without eligibility for parole, probation, conditional release or suspended imposition or execution of sentence for a period of three (3) calendar years. Any punishment imposed is in addition to any punishment provided by law for the crime committed by, with, or through the use, assistance, or aid of a dangerous instrument or deadly weapon.
