For over 50 years, the Lee’s Summit Chamber of Commerce has celebrated businesses with the time-honored tradition of a ribbon cutting. A ribbon cutting symbolizes new beginnings, a fresh start or even a dream come true. So, as businesses begin to reopen across the city, we decided to call upon this beloved tradition to do what we do best: bring people together.

Tied Together is a new program that allows businesses to celebrate their reopening and show that they are strong in the face of this global crisis. We take the concept of a ribbon cutting and simply reverse it.
