Bonnie Stone

Bonnie Sue (Farmer Roe) Stone, 74, of Rayville, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 24, 2018.
Visitation will be 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 28, 2018, at Hidden Valley Funeral Home of Excelsior Springs, (816) 637-3000. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow the funeral service.

Bonnie was born February 26, 1944 in Hardin, Missouri, to Roy Robert and Bertha Mae (Phillips) Farmer. She graduated from Lawson School District in 1962.
She was preceded in death by her first husband William E Roe, Sr., in November 1980. She then married James (Jim) Edward Stone in November 1982.
Bonnie is survived by her husband James E. Stone, her sons Tommy (Carrie) Williams of St. Joseph, MO, and Billy Roe of Excelsior Springs, MO, her daughter Kathleen (Randy) Schnelle of Crane, MO, and stepdaughters Janice (Rich) McQuillan of Independence, MO, JoDona (Mitch) Bosley of Independence, MO, Jeanne (Kevin) Nixon of Lee’s Summit, MO, and Joyce Herrell of Lee’s Summit, MO. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly. She is also survived by her five sisters Wanda (Roy) Hartman, Phyllis Turner, Sandra (Ike) Tate, Jeanie Rash, and Debbie (Jim) Willis along with many nieces and nephews.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Bertha Farmer, an infant brother and her sister Mary Wrisinger, her first husband William Roe, her daughter Melinda Martin, and her great grandson Samuel Taylor.

Bonnie was a lover of country music and country western movies, specifically the ones with John Wayne. She was an avid gardener who took great pride in her flower gardens at her home in Rayville. She loved being a grandmother and great grandmother. She loved to travel. Bonnie and Jim traveled to Wyoming in the summer and Texas in the Winter. She loved to dance and could boogie with the best of them!
