Summit Christian Academy (SCA) is pleased to announce that Head of School Linda Harrelson has been appointed to the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) Board of Directors.
The Board of Directors consists of 15 heads of school from across the world and includes appointees from both private K-12 Christian schools, as well as presidents from private Christian universities.
“One of SCA’s core values is to ignite leadership,” shared SCA Board President David Drum. “At SCA, we desire for our students to learn how to lead. We know that transformational education occurs when academic teaching is combined with positive volition, and our own teachers and administrators modeling leadership by engaging our community and world. In this role, Mrs. Harrelson will join experts and leaders from around the globe to strive for excellence as SCA has done for the past 29 years. By serving in this leadership role, she can both share the best practices from SCA to the benefit of countless other Christian schools and infuse new ideas into Summit Christian Academy.”
“I am humbled and honored to serve on ACSI’s Board of Directors,” shared Mrs. Harrelson. “The need and demand for excellent academics with a strong biblical foundation has never been greater than it is in our world today. I look forward to helping establish a strategic vision and policies that will advance the cause of Christian education in our country and around the world,” Harrelson added.
