Charles Edward Moody of Lee’s Summit, passed away September 14, 2018 in Branson, MO.

Charles was born on December 14, 1951 in Houston, TX to Alphonso and Mildred Moody. He enjoyed his growing up years with his sister and many
brothers.

Charles enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served his country in the 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam. Upon returning home he
enjoyed many different careers. His favorites were working on cars and cooking. Charles moved to Lee’s Summit, MO and opened his own garage, where he met his loving wife, Debbie of 28 years.

He was a loving father to his children, Charles Jr., Bryant, Christopher, Brandon, Braylen, Amber, and Lance. He was a cherished grandpa to his many grandchildren and his great granddaughter. He is also survived by his loving brothers, nieces and nephews. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Charles later became a chef at St Joseph Health Center and the Child Development Center. He loved to cook and share with his family and friends. His
family remembers his love of having big BBQ’s, fishing and riding his motorcycle,and riding the rides at amusement parks. He loved spending time with his family,friends and his dogs. He had many friends and loved helping them whenever he could. He loved the KC Royals and the KC Chiefs and went to many games.

A funeral service celebrating Charles' life will be held 11:00 am Monday, September 24. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Sunday, September 23 and 10-11 am September 24 at McGilley and George Funeral Home 12913 Grandview, Grandview, MO. (816-966-0250)
