George William Howard

George William Howard, age 74, of Warsaw, MO, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2018 at the Fulton Medical Center in Fulton, MO.  He was born on October 17, 1944, in Salisbury, MO, the son of Benjamin and Edna (Stephens) Howard.

On May 9, 1964, he was united in marriage to Betty Owsley at Keytesville, MO.

They made their home in Lee’s Summit, MO and George was employed by General Motors as a pipe fitter in skilled trades, retiring at the age of 52.  Following retirement, they moved permanently to Cross Timbers, MO.  George took great pride in the little United Methodist Church of Cross Timbers and was always helping and doing for others.  They moved to Warsaw a couple of years ago and George transferred his membership to the First United Methodist Church of Warsaw, however due to his failing health was unable to attend.

George loved the lake and enjoyed fishing as often as he could.

He leaves behind his wife, Betty, one son, Bradley William Howard and wife, Joy, of Lee’s Summit, MO, two grandchildren, Joshua Howard and wife, Allie, of St. Charles, MO and Brooke McCormick, and husband, Ryan, of Independence, MO, a sister, Barbara Stump of Polo, MO and two brothers, Harold Howard of Pleasant Hill, MO and Delmer Howard of Lee’s Summit, MO, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation for George Howard was from 5:30 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Thursday, November 8, 2018, at the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw, MO.
