Linda L. Holloway, of Lee’s Summit, was called home to the Lord on Thursday, November 22nd 2018 with family at her side.
Linda began her life on June 25, 1942 to Merle John, and Bertalee Kistler in Kansas City, MO where she graduated high school, and went on to study hard to become an x-ray technician.

Linda married Edward L. Holloway on December 28th 1963. They proudly celebrated nearly 55 years of marriage! Together they had 4 children who love their mom very much. Linda worked several jobs over the years, but spent many of her later years working at an antique store in Greenwood, MO where she loved to be around friends. Linda dedicated the majority of her life being a full time mom and wife. Her children have blessed her with six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter, who called her her favorite word, “Gaudy”.
Over the years, Linda’s kind and compassionate heart supported various charity organizations including; Supporting 2 boys in Nicaragua through World Vision, providing Christmas to many underprivileged youth both locally and a small Indian village, and her love for animals led her to love and support Wayside Waifs of Kansas City. She always taught us to be kind and generous, and always help those in need.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Merle John and Bertalee Kistler. She is survived by her husband, Edward L. Holloway of the home; her children, Tiffany B. Chambers (Craig), Christopher L. Holloway, Matthew E. Holloway (Amanda), and Lacy N. Barnes; six grandchildren, Alexandra Madden, Grace and Brooklyn Chambers, Austin Barnes, Adalyn Downey, Olivia Holloway; one great-granddaughter, Maelynn Ottolini; her sister LeAnn Taylor; nieces, Elizabeth Allmon and Cheri Williams; and nephew, Todd Boyer.
We will be celebrating Linda’s life on Tuesday November 27th at Langsford Funeral Home in Lee’s Summit, Mo.
Visitation will be at 1 p.m., services will follow at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Linda’s name to Wayside Waifs of Kansas City, 3901 Martha Truman Rd., Kansas City, MO, 64137.
