Candace “Candy” Catherine Cockell Wallace, 72, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, passed away at her home on December 12, 2018.

Born January 25, 1946 in Kansas City, MO to Earl Cockell and Margaret Sawron Sullenger. Candy graduated from St. Pius High School 1964. She attended UMKC where she studied English and Theater.

Candy worked 20 years for Olin Corporation and then Lee’s Summit School District until her retirement.

She was well-loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ronald Wallace, and sister Earlene Cockell Rieder. Survivors include sons Christopher Wallace of Lee’s Summit MO; David Wallace of Independence MO, sister Beverly Sullenger Dunn of Liberty MO, 2 nieces, 2 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will occur on January 12, 2019 to a private audience.
