Raytown South High School’s Theatre Department will present “She Kills Monsters.” The show will run Feb. 21-23 at 7 p.m. in the Raytown South Auditorium.

“She Kills Monsters” by acclaimed playwright Qui Nguyen, tells the story of high schooler Agnes Evans as she deals with the death of her younger sister, Tilly. When Agnes stumbles upon Tilly’s Dungeons & Dragons notebook, she finds herself catapulted into a journey of discovery and action-packed adventure in the imaginary world that was her sister’s refuge. This high-octane dramatic comedy pays homage to the geek and warrior within us all. The play will be presented in the round with the audience seated onstage.

“This show has challenged the limits of actors and the technical crew to present a new piece of literature in a fun and exciting way,” said Raytown South High theatre teacher Brent Martin. “Almost all technical elements have been designed and constructed by students, we are very excited for audience to see this one of a kind production.”
