Due to the risk of severe weather, the City of Lee’s Summit has cancelled its Big Truck and Equipment Show, which was scheduled for May 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at City Hall, 220 SE Green St.

Safety is the City’s top priority. With lightning and strong winds in the forecast, the City does not want to risk putting guests and employees in potentially unsafe conditions. At this time, there is not a plan to reschedule the event.

The City does plan to set up some equipment at the upcoming Airport Open House, which is scheduled for June 22, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Lee’s Summit Municipal Airport.
