January 2, 1943 ~ May 14, 2019

Don Byrd, 76, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri passed away May 14, 2019. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, May 25, 2019 from 1:00-5:00 p.m. at VFW Post 5789, Lee’s Summit, Missouri. Mr. Byrd was born on January 2, 1943 in Kansas City, Missouri.

Don retired from Calmar MWV in 2013. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, scuba diving, and spending time with his family. Over the years Don traveled to many countries outside of the United States.

He was preceded in death by his parents Virginia and Harry Byrd, four brothers, two sisters, and a granddaughter Cassi Erin Byrd.

Survivors include his brother Robert Byrd, sisters Linda Byrd and Betty Lou Heydenreich, mother of his children Joyce Ikenberry, four children; Ricky (Radine) Byrd, Steven Byrd, Kevin (Cindy) Byrd, and Tamara (Bobby) Soban and seven grandchildren; Aaron, Krista, Isaac, and Christopher Byrd and Savannah, Nicholas, and Madison Soban.
