Greg is survived by his brother Gary Wayne Stewart of Raytown, MO; ex sister-in-law Kimberly Anne Hendrix of Grandview, MO; niece Jennifer Lynn Rodgers (Carl) of Belton, MO and nephew Justin Michael Stewart (Kayla) of Raytown, MO.

He is preceded in death by his parents Carl Edward and Patricia Lou Stewart of Lee’s Summit, MO and his infant brother Ricky Allen Stewart who he never got to meet. Greg also lost his maternal and paternal grandparents before his death along with many close family members and friends.

Greg Patrick Stewart was born on October 14, 1968 in Shawnee Mission, KS to Carl Edward and Patricia Lou Stewart. He graduated from Lee’s Summit High School in 1988. Completing his education was a huge accomplishment for Greg as he was born with Spina bifida and along the way faced many challenges and had numerous major surgeries which required long recoveries.

He loved learning and was passionate about all the individuals who assisted him throughout his lifetime. Greg never let his disability define him! He was a great bowler and for years was a member of the AWBA (American Wheelchair Bowling Association). He participated in local league play and attended some national tournaments in Las Vegas, NV. He loved wheelchair bowling and you could find him every week at the bingo hall selling papers to help support the Kansas City Chapter of the AWBA organization.

A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, October 5, 2019 at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society from 2pm to 3pm. Visitation is from 3pm to 4pm. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Greg’s life.

Flowers and condolences may be sent to Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd., Raytown, MO 64133 or give a donation to the Spina Bifida Association in Greg Patrick Stewart’s name.
