Wanda Maxine Kirlin, 99, died November 1, 2019. She was born February 24, 1920, in St. Joseph, Missouri, to Sarah Ann (Caselman) and Clarence Lee Harness.
Wanda earned her Master’s Degree from the University of Central Missouri, and taught at the Lee’s Summit High School from 1967 until 1982. She was devoted to her friends and family and stayed in touch with them easily through email, Facebook, and texting. She was tech savvy and enjoyed using her computer for corresponding and playing bridge.
Wanda accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at age 8 and was currently attending the Lee’s Summit Bible Church. Her devotion and her belief in her Creator were unquestionable.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and 4 brothers. Survivors include husband, James W. Kirlin of the home; daughters, Marjorie Ann Lemen (Carl) and Marilyn Kay Cameron (Al); grandchildren, Karey Kay Thomas (Gary), Chad Morley (Cindy), Candace Cameron Campbell (David), and Beau Cameron (Michelle); and great grandchildren, Marjorie Kay Thomas, Mariah Thomas, Kolton Thomas, Gaby Morley, Mallen Cameron, Wyatt Cameron, and Clark Cameron.
Visitation: 10:00 a.m. on November 5, 2019 with the funeral service following at 11:00 at the Lee’s Summit Bible Church under the direction of the Langsford Funeral Home.
Interment will be at Floral Hills East. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or charity of choice.
