Karen Denise Park-Williamson was born October 4, 1954 and passed December 13, 2019. She was born in Paducah, Kentucky to Rev. James Aaron Park and Jane Parsons-Park.
She was a graduate of Weston High School, Weston, Mo., and class of ’72. She attended Union University, Tennessee where she studied Art. Her love of art led her to balloon art, which brought her great joy. She worked as a sales representative for American Balloon Factory in Overland Park and loved the creative outlet and the many friendships that developed.
Life-partner, Michael Withrow, and two daughters, Rose Marie Henderson of Lee’s Summit, and Carrie Anne Keesler of East Lynne survive her. Her parents, James and Jane Park of Lee’s Summit, also survive her. She was sister to Kathi M. Gutierrez of KC and James (Kip) Park of Lee’s Summit, and a brother who proceeded her in death, Kenneth Lee Park of Lee’s Summit. She was blessed with many grandchildren: Kirstin Rehms, Kyle Rehms, Hailey Henderson, Falcin Henderson, Brandon Keesler, and Brianna Keesler. Also great-grand children: Cameron, Khloe, Riley, Chad, Marcos, Selena and Finnly. Nieces and nephews: Michelle Gutierrez-Martina, Andrew Gutierrez, Daniel Park and Sarah Park.
Please join the family for a visitation/open house on Dec 21st between 2-5 p.m. at Lakeland Community Church, 913 NE Colbern Road, Lee’s Summit Mo.
