Sandra Marie Case

Sandra Marie Case, 69, of Lee’s Summit, MO passed away December 25, 2019, at home surrounded by her family. She was born February 19, 1950 to Bo Thomas and Maxine (Blodgett) Thomas. Sandy graduated from William Chrisman High School and lived the majority of her life in Independence and Lee’s Summit.

She married Leslie Alan Case on August 16, 1968 in Independence. In addition to Les, survivors include her two sons: Cary Michael Case and wife, Jennifer and Colby Andrew Case and wife, Alyssa, all of Blue Springs, MO; seven grandchildren: Conner, Carter, Shelby, Tayler, Christopher, Allie and Ava; and a great grandson, Noah. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Christopher Case.

Sandy had a great love for both her Lord and her family. She is now reunited with some of those she dearly loved. She was very accomplished in decorating homes, crafts, making clothes for dolls and building doll houses. In earlier years, she played an important role in Case Construction, their family home building company operated by Les and the boys.

A service celebrating Sandy’s remarkable life will be held 2:30 p.m. Thursday, January 2, 2020, at the Meyers Funeral Chapel, 1600 W. Main St. in Blue Springs. Rev. Don Claphan will officiate. Visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m., prior to the service. A graveside service and burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 3, 2020, at the Elk Fork Baptist Cemetery, near Green Ridge, MO for immediate family. Memorial contributions are suggested to the East Side Baptist Church in Independence.
