Monica Bowers, age 57, Lee’s Summit, Mo. passed away on January 14, 2020 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kansas City, Mo.

She was born on June 1, 1962 at Fort Bragg, North Carolina to Jacob and Kyung (Lee) Jacobson. She married Barry Bowers and he preceded her in death in 2017.

She was employed as an administrator for and Insurance Company for many years and assisted her husband with his food truck Barry B’s Gourmet BBQ and Catering.

She loved reading and collecting pigs. Her favorite color was red & her favorite flower was the rose. She had grown a huge garden of red roses. She loved her flowers. She loved the Kansas City Chief’s. Her beloved fur babies were Sheba, Suki and Sako.

She is survived by her father: Jacob Jacobson of Lee’s Summit, Sister: Sue (Husband: James) Hamburger of Lee’s Summit. Numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Cousin: Kelly McCann of Wisconsin.

She was preceded in death by: her mother: Kyung Jacobson and Husband: Barry Bowers.
