January 29, 1957 ~ December 19, 2019

Sue Steverson, age 62, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Redwood of Independence in Independence, Missouri.

She was born January 29. 1957 in Springdale, Arkansas, the daughter of Leonard and Barbara (Zinn) Steverson. She grew up and received her education in Lee’s Summit, where she graduated from high school and Longview Community College. She also attended modeling school.

For many years she worked as a general clerk at PAE in Lee’s Summit. She was an avid part of the Auxiliary in Lee’s Summit and loved her cat “Little Bit”. She loved her great nieces and nephews dearly, along with many other friends and family. Some of her favorite pastimes were lake days and boating on Table Rock Lake.

Preceding her in death were her parents and one brother, Danny Steverson.

Surviving are one brother, Joe Steverson and his wife Holly of Oswego, Kansas; four nieces, Maria Kreski and her husband Kevin of Davisburg, Michigan, Mindi Jones and her husband Jeff of Pittsburg, Kansas, Hattie Wearverson and her husband Darrin of Silver Thorne, Colorado and Bobbi Peplinski and her husband Jason of Oswego, Kansas and one nephew, Jacob Steverson of Pico Rivera, California.

Celebration of life is to be held at the Lee’s Summit VFW Post 5789, 329 SE Douglas St, downtown Lee’s Summit, on February 15, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Any and all friends are welcome and there will be a cash bar.
