A. Richard DeMayo, 85, of Lee’s Summit, Mo. Passed away February 24, 2020 at the Redwood Raymore Nursing Home. Funeral services will be at 3:00pm on Sunday, March 1, 2020, at Aldersgate United Methodist Church 350 SW 150 Hwy, Lee’s Summit, Mo. with visitation and reception to follow.

Private family burial at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Richard graduated from Northeast High School in Kansas City Mo. In 1953. Later in life his love of hunting, fishing, and boating sparked a successful business with his brother, Victor co-owning and operating American Marine Boats and Motors in Harrisonville, Mo.

Richard Married his wife Janice Organ DeMayo and they have been happily married for 66 years. He loved antique automobiles and owned a few during his happy life with Janice.

Richard was preceded by his son Jon Richard DeMayo.

Richard is survived by his large loving family; Son Steven C. DeMayo, wife Tara of Raymore, Mo. Grandson Quinn DeMayo, wife Christine, daughter Maci of Peculiar, Mo. Granddaughter, Breanna of Kansas City, Mo. Corrina Smith and husband Austin, children Carter and Everly of Oceanside, CA, Grandson Mason DeMayo and wife, Alexis of Midvale, UT. Survived also by his brother Victor R. DeMayo and his wife Freda of Lee’s Summit, Mo.

Richard will be missed by his family and many friends.
